Let's hope this isn't just a coincidence...

Kotaku has recently reported that the Japanese Club Nintendo calendar has Animal Crossing as the theme for December.

This might not seem like much of a news item, but you have to take into account that for April, the same calendar features Mario Kart Wii...which is out in the same month.

See the faultless logic at work here? Of course we're ignoring the fact that all the other months contain Nintendo titles...

Could this mean that Animal Crossing Wii will be with us in time for Santa's yearly visit? Well, it's been rumoured that Nintendo is looking to bring the best-selling series to the Wii sometime soon...maybe E3 2008 will have the answers.

For the time being, let's just dream...
