Nintendo wants to give you a Valentine's gift

For those of you who picked up Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City on Wii and have been waiting for extra content to beef it up over its DS predecessor, Nintendo are about to wing you a (very small) present with not one but two downloadable presents.

To celebrate the release of New Play Control! Pikmin, between now and the 19th of February you can download a special Pikmin hat for your character, complete with tiny leaf poking out of the top. Not only that, but tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and Nintendo want to show how much they love you for buying remakes with a little gift in the post. They haven't announced what that present will be yet, so keep your eyes peeled on your postbox tomorrow to see what arrives.

To receive these lovely presents you'll need your Wii to be configured for WiiConnect24, and for your Animal Crossing game to allow WiiConnect24 communication. If you're not sure how to do this, there's a step-by-step guide on the Nintendo website that will have you running around in Pikmin clothes in no time.
