In a nice addition to last week's reveal of what Wii owner's play, Kotaku has compiled a list using the Nintendo Channel's play data on how much time is spent with M-rated games.
Call of Duty: World at War steals the most play time, with the average user unloading 34:28 hours into it, no doubt due to online play. Out of the top 5 games, 3 are open-world, with The Godfather: Blackhand Edition, Scarface: The World Is Yours and No More Heroes nabbing 2, 3 and 5 respectively. Madworld comes in 8th with an average of 6:08 hours of playtime, which means people on average beat it and leave it.
Absent from the top 10 are Resident Evil 4 and Manhunt 2, whose statistics for whatever reason aren't registered by the channel. That's too bad, because surely one of them would have bumped off Alone in the Dark.

I think the Wii doesn't store the game time for that long so games that were released a long time before the Nintendo Channel probably won't register.

@KDR: If that were the case, we wouldn't have play stats for Wii Sports or Twilight Princess either.

People have also had a longer period of time to go back to games like CoD or NMH. Personally, I've only played through MadWorld once so far, but definitely plan to go back through the entire game later on.

After 2 weeks of LoZ:MM & FFCCMLaaK, i accidentally got drunk with NMH. Today i got HotD Overkill for 15 squirms new .
Must say im impressed, its got b@lls fo sho!
We all need an M game now n then, here's hopin for a few more. Stat-tastic! But, i agree... my Wii forgot about some early games. Like Twilight Princess ffs, i pwnd that, it pwnd me (time-wise i mean).

How did NMH grab multiple slots? I don't understand how that works if its ranked 1-10 based on total avergae hours.
