Once you go black, you won't go back
They said it would never happen... well, sort of
We're all used to our white Remotes and Nunchuks nestling comfortably in our soft gamer's hands, pale plastic glinting in the sunlight, but those days are soon to be over - come November 16th you'll have the choice of a second colour, as Nintendo have announced black Remotes, MotionPlus attachments and Nunchuks are heading Stateside.
A black Remote and MotionPlus will set you back $49.99, and the stylish Nunchuk will cost a penny under $20. Sadly there's no news on when the black console will be available outside of Japan, but we're confident Nintendo will respond to the overwhelming weight of Internet pestering with some solid information soon.

At first I thought rip-off the black remote is $10 more but then I read the text that says it comes with a motionplus which makes it $10 less.

As much as I like black, this shouts "FINGERPRINTS" to me. Plus it'd look weird with all my other white Wii stuff, which is EVERYTHING I OWN FOR THE CONSOLE

Don't see why they can't just offer the other color options like the N64 controllers. Yellow, Green, Blue, Red. DId they have all those? I know there was at least yellow and green, I've seen those. It's a cash cow, theres no reason they shouldn't milk it.

Good for them for including motion plus with the Wiimote for a discounted price. I am sort of anal about having all of my accessories match though, so won't be buying these.

If you want a black Wii, why not buy a shell? Installing it looks simple enough... Oh well, I'm still happy with my white Wii and white controllers. White haven't been that common among consoles, so I think a white Wii is cooler. Although it would stick out among the other consoles, it certainly wouldn't among the millions of Wii's in our world!

The choice of black reminds me of chess for some reason. Would be funny if somebody both bought the black and white variations of the accessories and played chess with them.
On topic it looks nice enough (even if it means being mismatched with the millions of white Wiis out there) but I'm wondering when Red is available? 2012 perhaps?
@Ren: they also had the Pikachu variations of N64's (from what I remember) in Blue and yellow along with the Game Boys...pretty sweet if you own/owned both since they must be collecters items by now.

@Ren: Confirm Blue and Red. I have a red one, and one of my friends has a blue one.
There were also black, gold, and the special edition colors that game with a special colored N64:
Fire Orange, Grape (or Atomic) Purple, Ice Blue, Jungle Green, Smoke Grey and Watermelon Red, and there was also the Pokemon console+controller.
