Ubisoft's sales predictions for Red Steel 2 may not be as lofty as they were, but gamers worldwide will have a chance to exchange their hard-earned money for blades and bullets in late March. The game is due to hit North American stores on March 23rd, with the European release date a few days later on the 26th.
As well as confirming these release dates, Ubisoft has also unveiled information about the exclusive bonus goodies available to preorder customers. UK and European gamers will be able to pick up a 20-page art book detailing some of the concept sketches behind the town of Caldera, as well as four in-game weapons - the Tataro .357 Magnum, the Cord Industries Barracuda .357 AMP, and the legendary swords Kuro No Ken and Nihontō Hana. There's also a Red Steel 2-branded metal bullet, which could be a USB memory stick as used to promote their similar title Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, or it could just be a metal bullet. Don't get too excited.
For US customers, Gamestop and EB Games are currently offering the swords as a preorder incentive, with no mention of the guns or art book on their websites. With the unlocks being accessed through in-game codes, however, you'll most likely be able to pick up the guns using a European code, so take a deep breath and relax.

Well I've been hyped forever so its about time we got a concrete release date!
Anything for a bit of MotionPlus: I'll be all over this come March 26th.
Ooh, I pre-ordered it from GAME, what do I get? Gimme gimme gimme!
Yaays, euro-exclusive! Good thing that frenchiz are developing the game! I'm still bummed over the Metalbox-free MP Trilogy... Why can't everyone just have the same exclusivs? Oh well, I guess it's one of the later steps when it comes to world wide equality.
wow they pushed it back again from feb oh well
wow lucky eu players get a awesome art book
It is the 25th in Europe!
2010 is turning about to one heck of year for me, this month was TvC (which I picked up last night), next month I will be picking up NMH 2 and in March Red Steel...and then in April it's Monster Hunter Tri, dang this is freaking sweet!
Ah man the art book would have been a good buy, I have the art book for Soul Calibur II (even though I don't have the game anymore ) and love it!
Love the boxart
game looks great, like a painting
"I preordered from Gamestop, what do I get"
gets kicked in the testicles, has his money stolen, and is laughed at by other gamers for his poor purchasing decision
management then begins to urinate on unconscious customer
I hope this stays simple enough to still be fun. I think theres always the risk of devs trying to do too much with something like mo+ by adding button mashing or something.
I'm just now getting into the Wii Sports resort sword battles and it's really fantastic in it's simplicity. Waiting for the proper opening then a single slash is so satisfying. Very much, Kendo as well. It's almost odd that they don't just call it Kendo.
I'm excited, yet not excited at the same time for some reason....It looks like a blast, it supports MotionPlus, has Metroid Prime 3 IR Controls, great graphics and presentation ect...but i dont know....Maybe i'm just too damn thrilled and extremely excited for Mega Man 10 hehe ;p
You can't imagine how special I feel right now.
I'm so pre-ordering this.
Lucky Europeans! Still, I'm definitely getting this one (the bundle, of course), though probably not right away...
Also, it's awesome to see that GameStop's list of future Wii releases had the date for this one right, it gives me hope about them being right on the release date for Metroid: Other M...
