Who doesn't hate spiders?

As we approach the launch of The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest for the Wii and DS, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has summoned a vignette showing some of the actions our hero can perform, as well as some of the different locations that his quest will require him to travel to.

The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest video game will feature the voice talents of actor Sean Astin (Rudy, The Goonies, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) and actor and vocal artist John Rhys-Davies (Indiana Jones, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy). Both Astin and Rhys-Davies will reprise their on-screen roles of Samwise Gamgee and Gimli. The game also showcases original in-game music tracks along with music from The Lord of the Rings film scores created by composer Howard Shore.

The latest video shows how players will utilise the Wii Remote in order to control Aragorn's sword using motion gestures, and the Nunchuk to bring his shield into play. As part of the action, gamers will be able to battle goblins and other weird creatures on horseback, which certainly reminds us a little of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The vignette also shows us glimpses of various game environments such as eerie forests, dusty city landscapes, and the good old grassy battlefields.

The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest is scheduled for release this Fall in North America.
