After what seems like an age of "will it, won't it?" Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that Project Zero 2: Wii Edition will come to Europe.
Nintendo UK revealed the news through its new official Twitter account, also confirming that Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir will come to the continent in 2012.
So that's one more Wii game to look forward to this year, then. Too little too late or good news whatever the timing?

I heard this was the best one of the series. If this gets to EU, then that's another list of games localized for Europe that never get to NA. I'm still hurting over Pikmin 2 Wii version, Last Window, Siren 2, Another Code R, and several others.
Surely this will come to NA, right? right???? I need another great Wii-mote based creepy game, particularly after Silent Hill blew me away.
Very cool, with this and Game Gear games (re)confirmed, its a good day for news!
another wii game announced- hurrah! shows there is still life in the old dog yet.
Awesome, I suspected this would be announced at Nintendo Direct EU. So pleased.
@vonseux
yes, it is
Just watched the NoA Nintendo Direct, and even though we finally get The Last Story, I'm still getting the feeling that Nintendo doesn't like us. I guess our money is no longer worth getting.
@koto Wow, you're a downer aren't you.
I played all the Project Zero/Fatal Frame games. This one was the best one. It was pretty much a masterpiece of atmospheric design. 3rd game was also excellent in the atmosphere department, however felt more like "The Grudge" since it was based in an apartment for most of the game...which is still frightening!!!
Hes right though.
@tsuchinoko Xeno we barely got, in a very small-scale way and TLS was abandoned and picked up by XSEED (kudosto them though) and this has no chance of being picked up by Nintendo. So it looks like another import. I'd like to import Fatal Frame IV since there's a great English patch, but that ones rather expensive so maybe this will be the better choice down the road.
Everyone who complains about games not be released in the US - you have NO idea how many games we in Europe have missed, and you have gotten. Like two games in one of my favorite game series; Etrian Odyssey. We got the first game, you got all three of them. The same can be said about A LOT of nice JRPG:s. It sucks when you miss games, and it sucks when we miss games. But you will have to learn to import and modify your consoles - as all we Europeans are forced to do all the time. If you buy a European game you get English text, at least. I'm not telling you not to complain or something, we should always complain when we miss a cool game for stupid reasons. But it is not worse for you, so there is no point in feeling sorry for yourself. Learn to import like we Europeans do all the time!
By the way, this game looks nice! Won't buy it myself, but I know a friend who will be super excited.
To be fair, importing from Europe is more often than not, more expensive than importing from the US.
Yes, it sucks for any region who doesn't get a release.
I'm just trying to figure out the rationale in it. If the PAL region doesn't get it, maybe they couldn't translate into each language? If NA doesn't get it...um...why? Sure, some games just won't sell (Captain Rainbow) but several of these releases that we have not gotten or are getting much later have no such convenient excuse.
For me it's all too little too late.
Do we know if this version of the game is going to support proper pointer control for aiming the torch/camera at least?
So no word about a North American release? Poo. Oh well, chalk up another import for me if nothing gets announced by the time this game releases.
@SaSoBe
Don't you think it's a bit unfair to compare third-party releases that aren't available because the publisher has no branch in the region to some of the biggest "core" first-party titles released on the console? That doesn't make missing out on Atlus-published games any easier... but at least there is a reason why it happens.
NoA has dropped Wii support (especially for core games) like a bad habit unless absolutely no effort and no risk is involved. Oh well. Importing has never been easier - so I'll spend my dollars elsewhere.
Good to see another Japanese game being localized by NoE. I'll probably get this at some point.
<(<_<)>
<(>_>)>
More like sexy sisters.
Also, good to know Nintendo is localizing more Japanese games, if only they'd leave Japanese voices in them too... Come on Nintendo don't be so stingy!
grrr... I don't really care much about the Last Story and probably won't have time to deal with that monstrous Xenogears. This was at the top fo the import list for me, and NOA skipped it evidently. >
Forget the other three games. I want both the Fatal Frame games for Wii.
Any hope of this and Fatal Frame IV coming (legitimately) to the U.S.?
@DarkKirby "More like sexy sisters." LOL, yeah. I'm glad I'm not the only one who was thinking that.
Id give it a go no doubt , anything spooky you got my attention.
Please come to America. Please come to America. Please come to America. Please come to America...
This was a great surprise for me. I hope this will do well and we'll get Fatal Frame IV on the Wii or Wii U (maybe as a collection with the other two games ?).
And since Nintendo wanted us Europeans to watch the conference with all the content the Japanese one had i hope this means we'll get all the games that were mentioned.
I hope this come to NA. After getting that Silent Hill game, I was very disappointed that I didnt even consider it a Silent Hill game. Although a liked Cursed Moutain, we need another great Survival Horror game for the Wii or Wii U!
@Objection We were always going to get all of the 3 big japanese games. Nintendo wanted to spread them out through 2012 because they knew they would be virtually the only thing to come out on wii this year.
oh yeah and NA will get pandora's tower as well, just wait.
