We've seen some absolutely amazing creations put together using Flipnote Studio 3D over the years, but Japanese animator ミラーパネル3 takes the biscuit with their creation of "Flipnote Warrior", a full 34-minute animation.
The clip is centred around a young girl who has a life-changing event on her 3DS. All the animation was done in Flipnote Studio 3D according to the creator, before being ported over to the PC to be colourised and edited into a video.
A sample of the anime's opening can be viewed above; the full 34-minute masterpiece is scheduled to drop on 3rd December.

Amazing what some people can do with something like that.
O-O My O-O MY....GOODNESS!
So, did they rotoscope existing animations, or hand draw all of that on their own from scratch? Even if they rotoscoped, it's still impressive. I ask because, much of the animation looks so professional, I'd be surprised if this person hasn't drawn animations before.
edit: in case anyone isnt familiar with the term, "rotoscope", it means tracing actors from frames of movie film. Disney used the technique in the early days, like in the Snow White movie. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotoscoping

@WoomyNNYes They will do great thing.
Some studio hire these people! Amazing talent!
I once drew a smiley face on my binder in middle school.
That was incredible! Someone give that artist a job at a prestigious animation studio, pronto! Such creativity and artistry must be rewarded, recognized and appreciated!
@DoktorTotenKopf They already are an animator. They made a one hour Mario movie on Flipnote once, too.
If this was a real anime, I will actually watch it, it looks like it would be a good show!
I dont think people realize how much effort this had to have taken, this is insanely impressive
Well I guess I have plans on Dec. 3rd now.
I thought the colors looked great for Flipnote, but then I read they were done on PC... Still an impressive animation, even if it wasn't made entirely on a 3DS.
Wow... that's amazing...
Sudomemo/flipnote hatena nostalgia hours!
@WoomyNNYes Fine way to demonstrate what rotoscoping is, but I'd just make people sit through one of the best DS games out there: Hotel Dusk.
@AlienX Imagine how surprised I was back in the day when I randomly walked into a game store and saw a new game on the shelf... With Kyle Hyde as the protagonist. I think I've stood there for ten minutes thinking why I didn't know this was happening, if I wasn't mistaken, if was dreaming,...
I would actually watch that. It looks entertaining and well done. Would be cool if they could continue this at a real studio and do a 13 or 26 episode run.
I'm not sure I understand this, to be honest. What do the shadowy figures represent? The Wii U?
@AlienX One of my all-time favorite games, a hidden gem, of sorts. The rotoscoping animation is really cool in that game. Which reminds me, still need to play through the sequel someday..
@WoomyNNYes Somebody did that with a My Little Pony flipnot on dsi and they keep claiming they designed it themselves when everyone else didn't agreed to what she said.
Anyways nice flipnote even it's a bit too random of what's going on. It just like a flash and l'm like...what just happened.
Wow... that was incredible! And the full 34-minute animation will come on December.
An anime centered around a girl and her 3DS, that would be heartwarming goodbye
