Pokémon Legends: Arceus players are pulling a Breath of the Wild: Finding weird ways to explore the world that probably weren't intended by the developers. For example, did you know that you can cross large bodies of water with naught but a pocket full of Bidoofs?
(Okay, technically they're Bibarels. But our Bidoof news tag covers Bibarels, too.)
And yes, this means that poor ol' Bidoof can't go a single game without being turned into an HM slave one way or another. He seems happy to help all the same, and who are we to stop a beaver from building a dam (or being built into a dam)?
Anyway. Friendship terminated with Big Ghost Fish. Now a raft of weird-looking beavers is my best friend.

Bibarels floating stand
I see they're building a dam.
Thanks for this. Best news this month.
Kate you are on a roll with the subtitles this week!
Please don't patch this out! Like Breath of the Wild, these weird oddities add more character to an already awesome game.
That's one way to get that Level 65 Infernape early
science can't explain that
Bidoofulegion!
And I used to jump over with Wyrdeer in second map from big cliff to right side of map where Turtwig is encounterable or over small river where Goomy is encounterable, because I'm still Basculegionless. xD
Am I the only one who finds it weird that Nintendo Life have published news items about oddities in Legends Arceus like Bibarel bridges, secret rooms and graphical glitches, but they haven't published anything to warn players about the Cresselia softlock?
***SPOILERS***
There’s a glitch in Pokémon Legends Arceus (ver. 1.0.2) that softlocks mission No. 23. If the player catches Cresselia before speaking with Melli, then Melli won’t acknowledge the capture and Cresselia won’t respawn, preventing the mission from being marked as complete.
A quick search of the internet will show that plenty of players are having this issue, but there's been nothing about it on this site. It's very easy to walk into this softlock, as all the player needs to do is access Moonview Arena and capture Cresselia without first speaking to Melli. You can just walk right past them without triggering any sort of cut scene, and since Cogita provides the quest there doesn't seem to be any reason to speak with Melli unless you're already warned about this issue.

Off topic but I'm having difficulty with the third Noble Arcainine. Everytime I get it down to its last bit of life to the point I only have to throw a few Balms that stupid ring of fire is making it impossible for me to hit him due to him being too far back. I've tried everything and nothing works. He ends up finishing me off with that stupid charged move of his that is 100% undodgeable unless you pelt him with Balms which I can't do atm.
This fight is very badly designed IMHO.
@SuperVirtualBoy That's good to know. I don't really care about Legendaries anyway but thanks nevertheless.
That's actually pretty cool. Love seeing players find interesting workarounds like this.
@SuperVirtualBoy I almost did that. I was wondering what would’ve happened if I stuck around and caught Cresselia 😬

Use actual spoiler tags
I haven't finished the main game yet so I've held off watching any speedruns, but I've seen that they take around 4 hours and I'm curious to see what they do.
Presumably, you can probably use a bidoof bridge to reach Firespit Island early, but this probably would have no real benefit as I doubt the event triggers will work properly, and it'd probably just be faster to actually go get Basculegion.
@RubyCarbuncle you have to jump over or around the ring of fire. There are no 2 ways around it
@RupeeClock it would probably be mostly useful to reach the little islands in the first two areas early.
The speedruns...! Think of the speed runs...!!!
@RupeeClock So sorry! I didn't know that was possible nor how to do it. It should be fixed now. My mistake.
@Savage_Joe Ahh thanks but I've since managed to beat him easily. No idea how I found him difficult tbh, tired I guess
That's pretty cool.
