Sonic Prime Season 1 Is Apparently Getting A Blu-ray Release In 2024

Is this any good for an adult? I'm not a fan of the sonic games either? I know I'm not helping my case.

I'm hopeful they eventually do a "Complete Series" release.

Somebody told me that DVD sales are still very decent.

Not sure if he looked ar his own store’s lack of DVDs and Blu-Rays.

For me, though, I find discs very useful. I have a portable Blu-Ray player, and it’s good to use in the van’s AV port for riders to watch as I drive ‘em. I’d buy this Blu-Ray.

I've heard good things about it, though haven't seen it since I don't have Netflix. Maybe I'll give it a go. Here's hoping their One Piece gets the disc treatment as well.

@rvcolem1 It's a great Sonic show. Lots of action and good storytelling. Though I'm not too big on it being a part of the Sonic canon (Sonic himself acts fairly clueless).

And since you don’t seem to have or know much about game sonic I’d say the one issue I have with it won’t be a problem for you, that being sonic is just incredibly slow despite being fast, he takes forever to catch on to things and like the user said above often clueless. I know why they did it, but it’s still frustrating to see time from time, I’m in season one so idk if this gets fixed.

@rvcolem1 according to fellow Sonic fans, it's mostly for kids compared to the main series games, but adults can find some enjoyment outta it. Just don't go in expecting the games to be exactly like this, cuz it gets a lot of the main series story wrong.

I'll be surprised if it comes out in the UK but I'll buy it if it does.

Could not handle how annoying Sonic was in this so I’m steering clear of it.

I wonder if there is a market for streaming sites to do what companies like Limited Run do, make a small timed batch of physical discs for say, £/$10 each for those wanting to properly own the movie / series.
Sounds mental on the outset of things but I had a free Amazon Prime trial and watched a couple of movies on there that I would sit down and watch on DVD or Blu Ray again without having to pay per month, our Internet plays up sometimes too so having DVDs and Blu Ray is quite a handy solution.... The more I type, the more I'm thinking I'm very much in the minority so put this down to thinking a-loud

@FourBs Well, I'd be down for it. the ammount of stuff still stuck on streaming is absurd, some of which is very valuable media to me.

Like, why haven't there been a limited release of Midnight Diner on Netflix's hypothetical sister site? Why can't I buy Onimai from crunchyroll despite being the seasonal favorite during it's time?

I think there should be an option to custom print a streamed series you just finished for a fair price. Maybe even offer a discount on a series that you "proved" you enjoyed through this method?

Strange. I thought Netflix originals were only on Netflix

@Swhite29s : It's not unheard of for streaming shows to be made available on home video (though they tend to be in the minority).

All seasons of The Crown, and Rick and Morty are available on Blu-ray, for example.

I'm holding out for the latest episodes/movie of Beavis and Butt-head to get a Blu-ray release, as I have no interest in subscribing to a streaming platform for a single show.
