The final name? Who knows, this is just a totally sweet mock-up.

Sources close to SEGA have revealed to Nintendo Life that a follow-up to SEGA's House of the Dead: Overkill is well under way and should be released sometime early or mid-2011.

Details on the game are still undisclosed, but what we've been told is that a title codenamed "House of the Dead: Overkill 2" is being worked on, which we assume is for Wii and potentially PSMove. SEGA has neither confirmed nor denied these claims, and our inquiry with the company was met with an expected "no comment on rumours and speculation" reply.

The original f-bomb record-holding title landed with fairly positive reviews, with fans asking SEGA for more from the London-based Headstrong Games. Producer Neil McEwan appeared in an interview on the Nintendo Life Podcast back in Feb '09, saying the team would certainly be interested in doing more with the series if given the green light.

Oh and SEGA, where on earth is House of the Dead 4 for consoles?
