I need some help. I just downloaded Pokemon go. I dont have a huge data plan but I think its around 200 Megabytes. Im fine with walking around for maybe an hour then putting the game away. The problem is when I am away from my WiFi at home, my phone doesnt even connect to the internet outside. What do I do?
Finally caved and played around with iTunes so I could get it in the UK and I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. Spent an hour or so just walking around town earlier, and I managed to catch a fair few Pokemon and passed a decent number of Pokespots. There's a gym just down the road from my house so I'm going to see if I'm able to hold onto it.
Totally forgot this was out since I haven't seen anything about it on the Google Play store (not in the new releases, top rank charts, etc.). Turns out it isn't compatible with my tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1), and thus won't even show up in the Play store unless you directly type it in.
Probably wouldn't have gotten much use out of it anyways (I don't take my tablet out of the house), but it would have been nice to play around with it for a bit.
Anyhow, I've already seen a story on the local news mentioning the app (it's success, and how people are already abusing it). Apparently, a group of people used the app to ambush & rob people, in an area they knew people would gather (the incident happened in St. Louis).

@Megumi_Sagano I was in the middle of catching an eevee and it crapped out on me as well. I had to settle for a stupid pidgey. On the other hand, earlier in the day and later that evening I caught 2 pidgeottos, a fearow, several pidgeys and a ghastly. Not a bad haul.. That eevee though, is my white whale. I shall catch it one day...it will be mine..

I'm surprised how much I enjoyed this app. When I first got it, I was entirely unimpressed by it and since I live away from any Pokemon, I quickly decided to give up on it. Today, on the other hand, I decided to give the game another try due to my older siblings, and we traveled around our town together doing errands all while going around and catching Pokemons. It was very fun for me and it brought back many memories, especially considering that the reason I got into Pokemon as a child, was because of my siblings. It was all very entertaining and nostalgic.
Although, the game does have a large amount of room to improve because it is certainly lacking at the moment. As cute as catching Pokemon in real life is cute, I imagine it will become rather boring in the future. So, I hope they fix all the issues and update the game consistently.
...I'm starting to think Wifi is part of the issues I've been having when it comes to getting on this game. As in it won't stay connected unless I leave my house and my phone switches over to cellular data. It still gives me issues then, but they're not as problematic as I'm able to get back on if something glitches/freezes up. (which happened twice when I ran into a Bulbasaur, lol)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
My friend downloaded Pokemon GO over the weekend. He only has 4 captured Pokemon, with one of them being Pikachu. I didn't believe him at first but then he messaged me a screenshot of his accomplishment. All I see in my city are the same 8 or 9 Pokemon.
Well....wait a sec. He lives in the same city I do!!!
I only picked Valor because my area was dominated by Instinct and Mystic. Especially Mystic. So the way I see it Valor are the ones making the game interesting. Without us there would never be any competition and you'd all get bored of the game within a few days.
Mystic are the sheep, Instinct are playing the victim and Valor is a public service.
