Topic: I finally got a PS5!

My very first PS5 arrived in the mail today! I didn't have to submit to no scalpers either. I got it on Hotstock. It's an app that tells you when PS5s are in stock at various stores. Feels good to finally have one! Now just three years until PS6 LOL! It was already obsolete before i opened the box 😉

Anyway i think I'll set it up and make sweet love to it!

Now if anyone wants to make any suggestions for games please do. Just Don't say last of us or all those other games i can already play on PS4. I got a PS5 so i can play PS5 games.

@Truegamer79 Congrats man, that's one hell of a get! I don't have one myself but based off of critical reception, I'd recommend Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Horizon Forbidden West for some starting games! Oh, and don't forget that Astro's Playroom comes pre-installed on every PS5 (that game is actually really great from what I've heard)!

Yeah I'll probably try Astros playroom first. Definitely gonna check out spider man miles morales and ratchet and clank. Horizon has been on my list for a while but i actually haven't finished the original. Still gotta get that done.

Opening up a new gaming system is always fun! That new console smell! The excitement of trying the controller for the first time. I'm in for a fun evening!

Yay! @Truegamer79 that’s so cool man! I remember how hyped I was so I can imagine yours, I think you should get miles or rift apart, I never played rift apart but it looks incredibly fun! I have played miles and boy, what a game! Also if you get the special edition, you get the spiderman ps4 turned ps5 and miles!

I played a bit of Astros playroom. It's really fun! I like how the controller has a different vibration for so many actions. Like when he walks the controller vibrates with every step. I'm still figuring things out like how playing PS4 discs works. So when transferring saves from your PS4 does it completely remove the save file from your PS4 or does it make a copy?

You gotta play ghost of tsushima and if you want a really good deal get psplus extra that has A BUTTLOAD of good games

I actually did play some of ghost of tsushima on PS4. I'm wondering if it's really worth upgrading to the directors cut.

PS+ ‘Extra’ (mid-tier) is a phenomenal deal… I think it includes the Ghost Director Cut + Returnal + Demons Souls & many more

I only got mine a few months ago, so most of the games I've played (am playing) are big first party titles you're probably already aware of. Astro's Playroom, Spider-Man Miles Morales, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, & GoW: Ragnarok.

Otherwise I've played Star Ocean: the Divine Force which I personally thought was a ton of fun & would recommend if you're already a fan of JRPGs, but it's definitely a tad rough around the edges so I wouldn't say it's a must play if that isn't you.

I've been gaming since basically the beginning. I like just about every genre except sports. Not really into that. Currently I'm playing God of war ragnarok and kena Bridge of spirits. I've been collecting game systems since Nes. I own every Nintendo and Sony console released up to this point. Just got the PS5 yesterday so it's been fun diving into it!

If it's a really good cross gen game or a remastered version that's worth double dipping on for the extra features or content then yeah I'm open to anything like that. I am putting a larger priority on exclusives though.

This Haptic feedback thing is kinda blowing my mind! I was playing astros playroom and on a stage with rain i could feel the raindrops on my controller! I was like how the heck is it doing that? 🤯

I seem to be having an issue with the clock on my PS5. It's an hour off and when i try setting it automatically by the internet it won't change. I have to do it manually. Is there some some setting I'm missing or is this a bug or something?

I even did a test and set it Manually then turned it off. The clock went back to the wrong time again.

I just turn it off by the console not the remote. I wasn't even sure how to turn it off with the controller yet. I'm still figuring things out. I did get the clock issue sorted out. Somehow by default the clock was set on central time and I'm in the eastern time zone. I live in Indiana. I'm not good with time zones 🤦‍♂️

@Truegamer79 There is no separate battery for the internal clock. That used to be a thing with cartridges, but not gaming consoles. Check your country/timezone on the PS5, it automatically adjusts to that.

Yeah my problem was i had it on Central time and I'm in indiana which is Eastern. It was like that by default i guess. 🤦‍♂️
